Bharat Mobility’24
CATEGORY: Content Creation
01. Introduction
Inhousedigital partnered with Atthah Info Pvt Ltd at Bharat Mobility 2024 to capture and showcase installations for major clients like Hero MotoCorp, Hyundai, Volvo Eicher, and Invest India. Our goal was to document the visitor engagement and create a visual testimony through an aftermovie.
Initial Engagement
Contact and Objectives:
– We were introduced to Atthah Info Pvt Ltd through a mutual contact from an earlier project for Shiv Nadar University’s sports fest.
– Discussions moved quickly due to the event being imminent, focusing on Atthah’s need to better capture the grandeur and real-time experiences of their installations, which previous partners had failed to do.
Planning and Preparation
Pre-Production Planning:
– We had less than 12 hours to script and get approval for our plan, and arrange production requirements.
– We divided the event coverage into 3 segments:
– A Reconnaissance day for logistical planning
– A Production day for executing the storyboard, and
– A Backup day for any necessary retakes.
Goals:
– Capture the installations for each company and document the engagement, process, journey, and reactions of the visitors.
Event Coverage
– Core team: Yash and Aditya handled the main production tasks, with Parul assisting in interactions.
– Equipment: Two Sony A7 IV cameras with 16-35mm and 24-70mm lenses, DJI RS2 gimbal, and Wireless Rode Mic II.
– 16-35mm lens on the A7 IV with the gimbal and mic for cinematic shots and smooth camera movements.
– 24-70mm lens on the A7 IV handheld for close-ups and adaptability to capture instant moments.
– Parul played a crucial role in facilitating visitor interactions, helping to capture authentic engagement with the installations.
On-Site Challenges:
– Coordinating and covering a large event with installations spread across Pragati Maidan was challenging, especially with a small team.
– VIP visits restricted our shoot time at the Hero installation to just 30 minutes, but pre-planning helped us capture all necessary shots efficiently.
02. Post-Production
Editing Process:
– The goal was to create an upbeat yet professional video that balanced innovation with corporate appeal.
– Custom SFX and logo animations were added, along with a subtle 16mm film look and seamless transitions, to enhance viewer engagement.
Deliverables and Outcomes
Final Product:
– We delivered a 1:15-minute aftermovie and individual videos for each installation, ranging from 30-45 seconds.
– The content was designed for both internal documentation and social media use.
Impact and Response:
– The response was highly appreciative. The videos effectively showcased the installations, providing valuable documentation for internal use and enhancing Atthah’s social media presence.
– The aftermovie helped Atthah demonstrate the success of their installations to future collaborators.
Team Experience and Learnings
Adaptability and Preplanning:
– Swift preplanning in response to last-minute opportunities demonstrated our adaptability and ability to deliver under tight deadlines.
– Dividing coverage into segmented days optimised resources and ensured comprehensive event coverage.
– Clear delineation of roles ensured smooth coordination and optimal utilisation of team members’ strengths.
– Strategic equipment uses showcased technical proficiency and innovative capture approaches.
– Rapid client communication allowed for quick alignment with objectives and tailored approaches.
– Understanding past challenges enabled us to exceed client expectations and address previous shortcomings.
Future Improvements:
– While the project was successful, future endeavours could benefit from more robust pre-event planning and contingencies for unforeseen restrictions.
